Kevin Janus
["corporate scientist," "other farmer," "Stonewell's assistant," "county surveyor," "Swenson"] Kevin Janus is a comedian and writer in New York comedy. He performs and writes with the off-Broadway show Wake Up World with Daily Show co-creator Lizz Winstead, and co-produces his own show "The Sophisticates" of live and video sketches at the People's Improv Theater in New York City the first Thursday of every month. Kevin has performed professionally since age 13, including lead role premieres with the Ancient Comic Opera Company's adaptations of Aristophanes' "Clouds" (as Socrates) and "Assemblywomen!" (as Blepyros), the role of Vlad Lupo the Vampire in the world's first ever cowpunk musical, "The Yeehaa Cowboys," and as Herman in "The Canary" at Greenwich Village's Players Theater. He was also lead singer of The Yeehaa Cowboys, including appearances on Canadian television. Kevin is also a litigation attorney at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart Oliver & Hedges LLP. He received his LL.M. from NYU and his J.D. from University of Toronto, and clerked for the Honorable Lawrence M. McKenna in the Southern District of New York. He currently lives in Manhattan with his wife Kelly, and their pet stuffed tiger, Richard Parker. Contact him here. |
